Tragic: Jack Treeby
Hunt: Police want to trace a range rover similar to this one
THE widow of 43-year-old Jack Treeby, from Rainham, who died when he was hit by a car in Maidstone, has spoken about the tragic loss of a devoted husband and father to their five children.
Karen Treeby, of Sunderland Drive, Rainham, said he would never be forgotten, and added: "Jack was a loving, caring father and husband, who worshipped his wife and children. He did not deserve what happened to him.
"I feel like my heart has been ripped open. We have been robbed of a wonderful caring loving man who will live in our hearts forever."
Mr Treeby died from multiple head and chest injuries after he was struck in Quarry Road, Maidstone.
Detectives have launched a murder inquiry.
Another man, believed to be Mr Treeby's younger brother, was left seriously injured with gunshot wounds in the same incident.
A woman was arrested and is being questioned by police.
Officers continue to appeal for information and have today issued an image of a Range Rover, similar to the one officers believe was involved in the incident.
The image, of a Range Rover Vogue Turbo, is not the actual vehicle officers are looking for, but is a good likeness.
The vehicle they are trying to locate is a blue estate with possible registration number J862 WEG.
A special incident line has been set up on 01622 652222.
