TUNBRIDGE Wells Ridgewaye Football Club impressed at the renowned Jarvis Brook tournament.

More than 170 boys' and girls' teams from across London, Kent and Sussex made their way in great weather to the Limekiln Playing Fields.

Brook chairman Paul McCarthy said "This year's tournament was probably our best ever in terms of the number of visiting teams, the standard of football played, the level of sportsmanship demonstrated by all the teams who took part and the money we have raised for the club.

"It will assist us in our ambitions to continue to improve the quality of the football facilities that we offer, not only to our own members, but also to teams visiting the club.

"We are blessed with a contingent of managers, coaches, parent helpers and other volunteers, who come together each year to put on a tournament held in high regard across the local football community."
