DOVER Grammar School for Boys has soared through to the final round of the Kent cup. The u'15 fought valiantly against their arch rivals to pull off a rather convincing victory. Dane Court didn't know what had hit them in the as they were set back by three exemplary goals scored by the Dover boys inside the first half.
Dover looked unplayable and worthy of a cup final team as Dane Court were penned back. Things were looking bleak for the visitors. However with a stroke of luck, a deflected shot gave them little hope as the clawed a goal back, unfortunately for them, Dover didn't take their foot off the gas as they stormed forward to grab the fourth. The game was now officially over, but dane court, like the dignified semi-finalists they were, grabbed a second before time.
Dover were excellent going forward and the four goals certainly sent out a warning for the team they play in the final, however even this could not prevent the manager having a go at his players for conceding two sloppy goals which in the final could lose them a trophy.
Despite this, it was all smiles for the Dover boys as they booked their place in the final, their unique and inventive style to playing football was certainly recognised by a few major clubs, as star player James Brown was snapped up by Millall FC last week.
